TOURS
Tours for IOC members and accompanying persons will be organized during Congress and post-Congress days. Tour transportation will be provided by luxury coaches. Optional tours will be organized if the number of participants is at least 15.
1. Ankara tour (on 6th June 2007) The tour will start at 14.30 in front of the venue hotel. They will visit the castle and then Anatolian Civilizations Museum. Atatürk's Mausoleum will also be visited. Return to venue hotel will be around 18.30. The cost of this tour is included in the Package Price.
2. Cappadocia Tour (on 7th June 2007) The bus will leave the venue hotel at 07.00 Cappadocia is 250 km far away from Ankara and the travel takes 3.5 hours. Cappadocia is a mysterious natural museum, a surrealistic lunar landscape of fairy chimneys and strange rock formations chiseled by the able hand of nature. Addition to this the early Christian rock churches, the pre-historic underground cities and the vineyards producing the characteristic local wines, and you have a unique experience, which will be forever imprinted on your mind. With its characteristics, Cappadocia is the candidate to be the 8th wonder of the world.
The guests will have the chance to see this amazing site. Lunch will be offered to Guests in Resort Dedeman Kapadokya (5* hotel). The bus will depart at 17.00 to return to Ankara. 3-Beypazarý Cultural Tour (on 9th June 2007). This is an optional Tour. The tour will start at 7:30 in front of venue hotel. Beypazarý, on the way of historical the Silk Road, is a place of full of cultural richness and natural beauties. It is 120 km far away from Ankara and reached after a 90 minutes drive time. The guests will have breakfast at an historical mansion named Hadji Bostan. Beypazarý is a famous place with its historical houses, hand-made garments and silver works. The guests will have lunch in the same mansion, served patented meals of the district. After lunch, first the bazaar and next the factory of mineral water will be visited. The departure for Ankara is at 18:00. The cost of this tour is 30 EUR per person (18% VAT excluded). More information about Beypazarý can be obtained from the following web page.
4-Çayýrhan Technical Tour (on 9th June 2007) This is an optional Tour The tour will start at 07.30 in front of the venue hotel. Çayýrhan is 22 km further from Beypazarý. The travel time is around 2 hours. Çayýrhan Thermal Power plant will be visited upon arrival. Lunch will be served at Plant Guesthouse. Soda ash plant will be visited in the afternoon. Departure for Ankara is around 18.00.
